In this guide
PS5 Media Remote Skins come in two primary forms: flexible silicone cases that wrap around the remote and vinyl decals that change its surface appearance. A useful option should preserve button access, fit the Media Remote correctly, add grip, and protect against the scratches, dust, grease, and minor impacts associated with everyday use.
This guide compares ten remote-only silicone cases and full-set PS5 Slim vinyl skin packages. The evaluation focuses on the supplied specifications, including compatibility, material, cutout placement, visibility features, cleaning, installation, included accessories, and whether the product protects only the remote or coordinates with the wider console setup.
Each review explains the product's strongest benefits, practical limitations, and ideal buyer. The PlayVital silicone cover leads for focused remote protection, while the dragon-themed PlayVital bundles stand out for coordinated styling; the elago option offers a more minimalist case design. Product availability and listing details can change.

Protection is the main attraction. The full-body sleeve is designed to reduce the chance of scratches, dirt, grease, and other everyday contaminants reaching the remote's surfaces. Its soft, lightweight silicone also provides an anti-slip texture, which can be useful when navigating menus with the Media Remote from a couch or other relaxed position.
The cover is easy to install and remove, and the supplied description states that it does not interfere with buttons or ports. A precisely cut design is intended to preserve normal operation while adding coverage. It can also be washed when the surface becomes dirty, making it practical for a device that is handled frequently.
This is the strongest choice for someone who wants one dependable protective skin for the remote rather than a coordinated console-wide set. It is especially appealing to households that lose remotes among cushions or prefer a visible, grippy cover. Just confirm that your device is the compatible PS5 Media Remote and remember that the cover alone is included.
Visibility Meets Practical Protection
The glow-in-dark material gives the case more than decorative value: it can help identify the remote in a dim entertainment area. The fluorescent effect must first be activated by exposure to light, so keeping the case near a lamp or in a naturally lit room can help it retain its visible glow.
Comfortable Everyday Handling
Soft silicone adds grip without introducing a rigid shell. Its washable construction also makes routine maintenance straightforward when dust, grease, or other marks accumulate on the remote.

2. Silicone Case with Lanyard – Convenient Anti-Loss Design
Silicone Case with Lanyard
Silicone protective construction
Included anti-loss lanyard
Basketball-textured outer surface
Easy damp-cloth cleaning
This Silicone Case for PlayStation 5 Media Remote Control is a remote-only protective cover with a 3.2 rating. Its most distinctive accessory is the included lanyard, which can be used to hang the remote near a television or beside a sofa. That makes it particularly useful for anyone who regularly loses the remote between cushions.
Pros
- Includes a useful hanging lanyard
- Protects buttons and ports
- Improves grip with textured surface
- Easy to wipe clean
- Supports signal reception
Cons
- Remote is not included
- Lower 3.2 rating

The case surrounds the remote in flexible silicone and uses a basketball-textured exterior for anti-slip handling. The material cushions the shell and is described as helping protect against cracking if the remote is dropped. It also covers the battery area, which can discourage children or pets from accessing loose batteries, although it does not replace proper battery safety practices.
Precise cutouts preserve access to buttons, ports, and functions, while a sensor opening supports unobstructed signal reception. Installation is straightforward, and the bright coloring is intended to make the remote easier to find among several similar devices. A damp cloth or wet wipe can clean the surface.
The lanyard is the deciding feature for many buyers, especially those with a shared living room or a tendency to misplace remotes. The lower rating means buyers should examine current customer feedback carefully, particularly if they have very specific expectations about fit or color. It is still a practical remote-only cover with useful anti-loss features.
A Place to Hang the Remote
The included lanyard turns the cover into a storage solution as well as a protective skin. Hanging the remote near the display can make it available for media controls without searching through the sofa or under nearby furniture.
Textured Grip and Simple Cleaning
The basketball-inspired texture provides a tactile surface for relaxed use. When the cover becomes dirty, wiping it with a damp cloth or wet wipe is a convenient maintenance routine.

3. Glow Silicone Case with Lanyard – Best Low-Light Visibility
Glow Silicone Case with Lanyard
Light-activated fluorescent material
Included hanging lanyard
Silicone anti-slip protection
Precise functional cutouts
The glow-focused version of the Silicone Case for PlayStation 5 Media Remote Control combines fluorescent material with a hanging lanyard. It carries a 3.2 rating and is built for buyers who want both easier low-light location and a dedicated place to keep the remote when it is not being used.
Pros
- Easy to locate in dim rooms
- Lanyard supports remote storage
- Protects shell and battery area
- Preserves signal reception
- Flexible cushioning
Cons
- Must be exposed to light first
- Remote is not included

The case is made from fluorescent material that can emit light in dim environments. This feature is not continuously illuminated; it must be exposed to sunlight, a desk lamp, or a flashlight for a period before the luminescence is activated. Once charged by light, it can help reveal the remote's location without turning on the television.
Beyond the glow effect, the cover supplies flexible cushioning, a basketball-textured grip, and coverage around the shell and battery area. Openings are positioned to maintain access to buttons, ports, functions, and the sensor. The included lanyard can be attached for hanging near the television or sofa.
This is a good pick when visibility is a greater priority than understated styling. The light-activation requirement should be understood before purchase, and buyers should check current reviews because of the lower rating. For a household where the remote regularly disappears beneath cushions, the combination of glow and anti-loss storage is compelling.
Charge the Glow Before Use
The fluorescence is activated through prior light exposure rather than remaining visible at all times. A short period under sunlight or a strong artificial light prepares the material to glow in a darker room.
Two Ways to Prevent Frustration
Glow improves the moment of spotting the remote, while the lanyard provides a longer-term storage solution. Together they address both the search for a misplaced remote and the inconvenience of keeping it within reach.

The package contains one console skin, two controller skins, one charging station skin, one headset skin, and one media remote skin. None of the covered devices are included. The high-quality vinyl is precisely cut and intended to protect against scratches and dust while making the overall setup more distinctive.
Its main advantage is visual coordination. A Media Remote skin can feel disconnected when the console and controllers retain their original surfaces, while a full set creates a consistent presentation. The described installation process is simple, adjustable, and designed to avoid bubbles, with the decals also removable when a different look is desired.
This is the top pick for buyers who want a coordinated PS5 appearance rather than a rubberized remote case. It suits owners of the specified Slim Digital Edition hardware who want graphics across multiple accessories. Confirm the console version before ordering, and note that the flexible decal provides surface protection rather than the cushioning of a full silicone sleeve.
One Design Across the Setup
The coordinated artwork extends across the console, controllers, charging station, headset, and remote. This creates a more unified appearance than decorating the Media Remote alone.
Surface Protection Without Bulk
A thin vinyl decal covers vulnerable surfaces without changing the controller or remote's shape. It can also be removed when you want to restore the original finish.

5. Silicone Case with Lanyard – Best Textured Everyday Grip
Silicone Case with Lanyard
Basketball-textured silicone cover
Included portable lanyard
Bright easy-to-find finish
Washable protective surface
This second lanyard-equipped Silicone Case for PlayStation 5 Media Remote Control emphasizes grip and accessibility. With a 3.2 rating, it is a functional option for people who would rather keep the remote in a fixed location than search for it whenever they want to adjust the volume or access a media function.
Pros
- Adds a secure tactile grip
- Lanyard keeps remote accessible
- Protects against daily mishaps
- Allows button and port access
- Simple cleaning process
Cons
- Lower 3.2 rating
- No remote included

The full-body silicone sleeve is flexible and provides cushioning around the remote's shell and battery compartment. Its basketball-textured surface improves handling, while a bright color makes the remote easier to distinguish among multiple devices. The supplied lanyard adds a straightforward hanging point near the television or sofa.
Functional openings are designed to provide access to all buttons, ports, and functions without blocking the sensor. The case installs easily and tightly surrounds the remote. It can be wiped with a damp cloth or a wet wipe when the surface becomes dirty, making it suitable for regular handling and shared spaces.
Choose this version if textured grip and a hanging solution matter more than decorative artwork. Its strongest use case is a household where the remote is repeatedly lost or where several remotes create confusion. The moderate rating calls for attention to current customer feedback, but the listed design features are practical and clearly defined.
Grip for Casual Media Navigation
The textured exterior is useful when the Media Remote is held at a relaxed angle or used with one hand. Silicone also provides a softer, more controlled feel than an uncovered hard surface.
Storage and Cleaning Combined
The lanyard provides a convenient home for the remote, while the washable silicone permits straightforward care. This combination suits entertainment areas that receive frequent use.

6. Glow Silicone Case with Lanyard – Best Visible Anti-Loss Combination
Glow Silicone Case with Lanyard
Glow-in-dark silicone finish
Included anti-loss lanyard
Basketball-textured grip
Signal-friendly sensor opening
The Glow Silicone Case with Lanyard combines fluorescent material, flexible protection, and a hanging strap. It is another remote-only option with a 3.2 rating, designed for users who want a highly visible case and a more reliable place to store the Media Remote.
Pros
- Improves low-light remote location
- Hanging lanyard reduces clutter
- Cushions the remote shell
- Maintains function access
- Protects battery compartment
Cons
- Glow needs light activation
- Remote is not included

Fluorescent material helps the remote stand out after the case has been exposed to sunlight, a desk lamp, or a flashlight. This is a practical feature in a darkened gaming room or living space. The case also adopts a basketball texture, adding grip and visual texture for daily media navigation.
The silicone sleeve is described as protecting the remote's shell and battery area from cracking or separation during everyday mishaps. Precise openings maintain access to buttons, ports, functions, and the signal sensor. Its lanyard can be used to hang the remote near the display or seating area for convenient access.
The product is best for buyers who specifically value a visible remote and have already identified loss or mix-ups as recurring issues. Review the lower-rated feedback before purchasing to understand any fit concerns. Remember that the glow is light-activated, and the package contains the cover rather than a Media Remote.
Find the Remote in the Dark
Once activated by light, the fluorescent finish can make the remote easier to identify without illuminating the entire room. The effect is particularly useful during a gaming session in dim conditions.
A Practical Place to Hang It
The lanyard can keep the remote within reach and discourage it from sinking between sofa cushions. It also reduces the chance of confusing it with similar media controllers.

The visual appeal is the defining feature. Neon colors and dragon artwork give the gaming setup a more expressive identity, while applying the same design across all included pieces makes the arrangement feel intentional. A dedicated media remote decal is included, so the remote does not need to remain visually separate from the console and accessories.
The vinyl stickers are precisely cut and intended to protect against scratches and dust. Their full coverage gives the underlying hardware a cohesive appearance without the bulk of silicone shells. Installation is described as simple and bubble-free, and the adjustable pieces can be removed when the preferred look changes.
This set is ideal for a colorful gaming room and for owners of the compatible Slim Digital Edition hardware who want a unified dragon theme. It is less appropriate for someone seeking cushioning, improved grip, or glow-in-dark visibility. Confirm model compatibility and remember that only the skins and applicable lanyard are included, not the electronics.
A Bold, Unified Gaming Look
The neon dragoon artwork turns a collection of standard accessories into a coordinated visual set. The remote's matching decal helps maintain the theme when the player moves between gaming and media use.
Thin Protection with Easy Changes
Precision-cut vinyl offers a surface-level barrier against dust and scratches while remaining removable. It is a flexible way to update the appearance of compatible hardware.

- Improves grip on hard surfaces
- Preserves full remote functionality
- Clean minimalist appearance
Cons

The case covers the sides and back while preserving access to the remote's functions. Its substantial silicone construction is intended to cushion the device against drops and other daily mishaps. The material also helps prevent scratches on both the remote and the surface beneath it, which is a useful benefit when the remote is placed on a table or entertainment unit.
Silicone adds a secure grip and resists the accumulation of dirt and oils on the exposed remote surface. The understated design fits naturally into a living room or gaming space without looking overly bulky. It is a focused solution for a buyer who values material quality and recognizable industrial design over artwork.
This is the premium choice for users who want dependable coverage without a glow effect, hanging lanyard, or full console set. The absence of those extras makes it a streamlined option, and the 4.5 rating supports its position among the stronger remote-only cases. Confirm compatibility before ordering and note that the remote itself is not included.
A More Substantial Protective Layer
The thick silicone construction is the central selling point. It adds cushioning around the remote without obstructing the controls, offering a reassuring sense of protection during normal use.
Minimal Style, Practical Grip
The clean design avoids loud graphics while providing a more secure hold. It also helps keep oils and dirt off the remote's original shell and reduces the risk of scratching nearby furniture.

The ink-inspired dragon artwork distinguishes the set from both plain protective cases and brighter graphic designs. The media remote skin lets the remote visually participate in the setup rather than looking like an overlooked accessory. This coordinated treatment is especially effective when the covered devices are placed together around the console.
Beyond appearance, the vinyl offers surface protection from scratches and dust. Individual accessory-specific cuts make the set more involved than applying a single remote decal, while the described installation method remains straightforward and adjustable. The decals are also removable, giving the owner some flexibility to change the setup later.
This product is a strong fit for a buyer who values themed hardware customization and owns the specified console version. It does not provide the grip or impact cushioning of a silicone sleeve, so consider the PlayVital silicone cover if physical protection is the priority. As with the other full sets, the hardware is not included.
A Consistent Artistic Theme
Matching artwork across the console and its accessories creates a finished, showroom-like presentation. The Ink Spirit dragon motif gives the setup a distinctive identity without relying on a glow effect.
Protection Across Every Included Piece
Each vinyl skin adds a barrier against dust and surface scratches. The remote is not left out, so the device used most often for media navigation can retain the same design language.

The package provides one console skin, two controller skins, and one skin each for the charging station, headset, and media remote. This broad coverage is useful for owners who want every visible accessory to feel connected to the console. The remote decal adds a coordinated finish to a device that is often handled outside active gaming sessions.
Precisely cut vinyl is designed to guard against scratches and dust while providing full-coverage visual customization. Installation is described as simple, adjustable, and bubble-free, and removal allows the hardware's original surfaces to reappear. The lightweight decals maintain the familiar shape of each supported accessory.
Choose this set when coordinated fantasy artwork matters more than a grippy shell or glow-in-dark feature. It is best suited to owners of the exact hardware named in the product information. If you want a protective remote cover rather than coordinated decals, the remote-only silicone products provide a more substantial and tactile alternative.
Complete Themed Coverage
The set carries the Mistborn dragon concept across every major supported accessory. That consistency makes the Media Remote feel like part of the collection rather than a separate device.
Removable Customization for Compatible Hardware
The adhesive vinyl provides a decorative and surface-protective layer that can be removed when a different style is desired. Buyers should verify that their console and accessories match the stated Slim Digital Edition design.

Buying Guide – How to Choose the Best PS5 Media Remote Skins
The right Media Remote skin depends on whether you prioritize coordinated appearance, tactile grip, low-light visibility, anti-loss storage, or a combination of these benefits. Compatibility, included parts, and the type of protection should be checked before ordering.
Confirm Remote Compatibility
A PS5 Media Remote skin is designed around the shape, button layout, ports, and sensor position of a specific remote generation. The silicone cases in this guide are explicitly limited to the PlayStation 5 Media Remote and are not intended for remote controls from other brands. A vinyl set may be created for a particular console generation and its related accessories, so buyers should also confirm whether their hardware is the original or Slim design.
Choose only a listing that clearly identifies the PS5 Media Remote as compatible and describes cutouts for the controls and sensor area. A remote that fits the outline but blocks a button or signal opening is not a good match.
Choose Silicone or Vinyl
Silicone cases wrap around the remote and provide a soft, grippy, somewhat shock-absorbent layer. They are practical for daily handling and can often be washed or wiped clean. Vinyl skins are thin adhesive decals that primarily change appearance and add a barrier against scratches and dust. A coordinated full set is more about visual customization than physical cushioning.
Pick silicone for grip, impact cushioning, easier cleaning, or glow-in-dark visibility. Pick vinyl for coordinated graphics, a slim appearance, and removable surface decoration.
Evaluate Button and Port Access
A protective skin should preserve access to every control and opening used during media navigation. Precise cutouts are especially important around the directional controls, playback buttons, charging or connection ports, and the top sensor opening. The product descriptions for the silicone cases specify openings intended to maintain access and support unobstructed signal reception.
Look for language describing precise cutouts and full functional access. Avoid assuming that a soft or flexible material will align perfectly if the installation instructions are unclear.
Prioritize Visibility and Anti-Loss Features
A remote that disappears between cushions can be a persistent minor annoyance. Glow-in-dark silicone offers low-light identification after the material has been exposed to light, while a bright finish makes the remote easier to distinguish from other devices. An included lanyard provides a stronger anti-loss measure because the remote can be hung beside the television or sofa.
Choose glow for quick identification in a dim room. Choose a lanyard for a permanent storage point. Some options combine both features, making them especially practical for shared households.
Check Grip and Texture
The Media Remote is often used while seated and at a relaxed angle, so a textured exterior can improve control. Several silicone options use a basketball-inspired pattern, while the PlayVital and elago cases emphasize their own anti-slip silicone properties. Grip is also useful when the remote rests on smooth furniture or a tabletop where it may otherwise slide.
A textured, flexible sleeve generally offers more tactile security than a thin vinyl decal. If grip is a priority, use a silicone case rather than relying on a smooth adhesive surface.
Understand What Is Included
Remote-only cases generally include one silicone cover, sometimes with a lanyard, but never the remote itself. Full PlayVital skin sets include one console skin, two controller skins, one charging station skin, one headset skin, and one media remote skin. The underlying console, controllers, headset, charging station, and remote are not included. This distinction matters if you only need a Media Remote cover.
Read the package contents carefully. A full set can be excellent value for a matching setup, but it is unnecessary if you want one remote skin. A lanyard-equipped case is more focused on remote storage.
Match the Style to Your Setup
Minimalist cases integrate easily with neutral electronics and living-room decor, while graphic vinyl sets make the console area a focal point. The Dragon's Elysium, Neon Dragoon, Ink Spirit Dragon, and Mistborn Dragon packages each use a different visual theme but follow the same multi-device format. A coordinated skin is most noticeable when the console, controllers, charging station, headset, and remote are visible together.
Choose a plain or subtly colored silicone case for a discreet look. Choose a full graphic set when personality and consistency matter more than cushioning or glow.
Consider Maintenance and Removability
Silicone is generally straightforward to maintain: the listed washable covers can be wiped with a damp cloth or wet wipe, and one product is also described as washable. Vinyl can be removed when the look is no longer desired, but careful application helps avoid bubbles. The full-set listings describe their decals as adjustable and designed for bubble-free installation.
Choose an easy-clean silicone cover for frequent handling or households with children. Choose removable vinyl when you want seasonal, collectible, or frequently changing console aesthetics.
How to Use and Care for Your PS5 Media Remote Skins
Begin by confirming that the product is intended for your exact PS5 Media Remote. For a silicone case, place the remote inside the cover and work the flexible material around its edges, paying particular attention to the button, port, and sensor openings. For a vinyl skin, clean and dry the remote's surface before applying the decal, then align the cut piece with the remote's edges.
Check that every button remains responsive and that the sensor opening is unobstructed. Avoid pulling hard on a silicone corner or pressing the decal into a port. A glow-in-dark case should be placed under sunlight or another suitable light for a period so its fluorescent material can activate before use in a dark room.
For routine care, wipe silicone covers with a damp cloth or wet wipe and allow them to dry before reinstalling them. Clean vinyl gently and avoid abrasive materials. Remove the protection if it becomes loose, causes button interference, or traps moisture, and check the current listing instructions whenever they differ from the general guidance supplied by the manufacturer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are PS5 Media Remote skins universal across PlayStation models?
No. The silicone cases in this guide are specifically designed for the PlayStation 5 Media Remote and are not compatible with other brands of remotes. Full vinyl sets are also tied to particular console designs, particularly the PS5 Slim Digital Edition named in the listings. Check the remote shape, hardware generation, and package details before ordering.
Does a silicone Media Remote case interfere with the controls?
A properly fitted silicone case should not interfere with normal operation. The listed designs use precise cutouts for buttons, ports, functions, and the sensor area. Installation quality also matters, so inspect the openings and make sure every control moves freely before leaving the case in regular use.
How does a glow-in-dark PS5 Media Remote case work?
The fluorescent material absorbs light and then emits a visible glow in darkness. It does not remain luminous continuously under every condition; the case should first be exposed to sunlight, a desk lamp, or a flashlight for a period of time. The exact duration of the charging effect can vary, so check the current product guidance for more detail.
Are the PlayVital full skin sets just for the console?
No. Each full set includes one console skin, two controller skins, one charging station skin, one headset skin, and one media remote skin. The electronics and accessories are not included, and the set is designed for the PS5 Slim Digital Edition's smaller design. Verify compatibility with your own hardware before purchasing.
What is the difference between a silicone case and a vinyl skin?
A silicone case wraps around the remote and offers grip, cushioning, and some protection from drops or impacts. A vinyl skin is a thin decal that primarily changes the appearance and helps protect the surface from scratches and dust. Cases are better for tactile use, while decals are better for coordinated visual customization.
Can the Media Remote skins be cleaned?
The silicone options are described as washable or easy to wipe with a damp cloth or wet wipe, making routine maintenance straightforward. Vinyl decals should be cleaned more gently to avoid lifting the edges or creating bubbles. Always allow either type to dry fully before reinstalling it.
Do the silicone cases include a PS5 Media Remote?
No. The remote-only silicone products contain one protective cover, and some include a lanyard, but the Media Remote is not included. The full PlayVital packages also contain skins rather than the supported devices. You need to own the compatible remote or accessory separately.
Is a lanyard useful for a PS5 Media Remote case?
Yes. A lanyard gives the remote a dedicated hanging location near a sofa or television, reducing the need to search through cushions. It works especially well with bright or glow-in-dark covers because the remote becomes easier to see even when it has not been returned to its usual storage spot.
Final Thoughts on Choosing the Best PS5 Media Remote Skins
The PlayVital Glow in Dark Green Silicone Case is the most practical focused pick because it combines visible low-light styling, washable silicone, and full-body protection without adding complicated accessories. The PlayVital Dragon's Elysium set is the editorial choice for coordinated PS5 Slim styling, while the elago case is the premium minimalist option for buyers who prioritize material quality, grip, and a restrained appearance.
Choose silicone when the remote is handled frequently, tends to be lost, or would benefit from cushioning and an anti-slip surface. Choose a full vinyl set when the main goal is to transform the appearance of the console, controllers, headset, charging station, and remote together. Confirm exact compatibility and understand the included components before making a final selection.
Product details and availability can change, so check the current listing and manufacturer guidance before ordering. Pay particular attention to the hardware model, remote cutouts, package contents, and care instructions. Those details will help ensure that the chosen PS5 Media Remote skin delivers the protection or visual effect you actually want.
